Control & Automation Companies (CAC) Thermal Shrinking / Laminating machine is designed to apply a precise amount of heat to a wide variety of tubing commonly used in the manufacturing of braided and non-braided medical device catheters. This machine uses innovative heat die technology to control up to 4 different  temperatures zones to precisely heat (ambient to 800ºF) the full length of a catheter to provide consistent lamination.

An Optional touch screen provides the ability to save and retrieve up to 10 different product processing recipes. The CAC-RF-003 also offers independent temperature controlled heating zones in the heat die and can also provide a cooling cycle process step to decrease the temperature at the end of the product cycle.

These features help to overcome the problems associated with longitudinal elongation and uneven recovery of the shrink tubing as compared to the use of ovens.

  • Up to 4 different temperatures along the lamination die
  • Activate or deactivate the cooling cycle
  • Multiple speeds transitions within a single cycle. ( Optional with the stepper motor model)
